From the symptoms you have I would suspect one of the electrolytic capacitors you didn't change.Ĭheck them carefully for bulging or leaks. If you can work out a way for me to send them to you I'd be only too happy to oblige. I also have HC Load V2.5 and HCxDriveUSB (couldn't get this latter to work in Windows 10) for transfer of Homecast files to a PC via USB-USB cable. Alan, I have all the firmware files from 1030A to 1053A. I also can't find a backup of my old PC that has my Homecast files on it Does anyone have firmware files or know where I can get them? I also tried to connect the hard drive to my PC (via a USB-SATA connector) and my PC doesn't detect the device as an available drive - is this normal? (I guessing the PVR has a proprietry format.) All power supply voltages are OK except for a 7V that reads 7.4V, but I have no way of checking the quality of that 7.4V.
